ASR publishes new and multidisciplinary research papers with a particular interest in research related to the complexity and diversity of societies and cultures, development and change, gender and family relations in Asian aging societies, ethnicity and multiculturalism, Asian diaspora, Religion and Secularism, borderland studies, and other pertinent issues.
